It is my great pleasure to welcome you to Stoke Bishop Church of England Primary School, a school where children are at the heart of everything we do and where we believe every child deserves the opportunity to flourish.

At Stoke Bishop, our vision is simple: Believing it’s Possible. Inspired by the words of Ezekiel 47:9, “Wherever the river flows, life will flourish,” we want every child to feel valued, develop a strong sense of belonging and discover the possibilities that lie ahead of them.

As Headteacher, I feel incredibly privileged to lead a school with such a strong sense of community, a dedicated staff team and children who bring so much energy, curiosity and individuality to each day. Our school is a place where relationships matter, everyone is encouraged to be themselves, and we work together to create the conditions for every child to succeed.

Our Christian foundation shapes who we are and how we treat one another. Through our values of Grace, Passion, Integrity and Courage, we encourage our children to show kindness, act with honesty, embrace challenges and approach life with enthusiasm and determination. We want them to grow not only as learners, but as thoughtful, compassionate and responsible members of the wider world.

Our Curriculum of Possibility is designed to spark curiosity, broaden horizons and open doors. We want our children to develop a love of learning, build knowledge and skills, ask questions, explore new ideas and experience opportunities that they may never have imagined. We recognise that every child is different, and we are committed to ensuring that all children, whatever their starting point or circumstances, are supported and challenged to achieve their best.

We know that a successful school is built on more than what happens in the classroom. Our culture is the bedrock of our success: a collective commitment to consistent approaches, strong relationships and high expectations for all. We work in partnership with parents, carers, governors, our church and the wider community because we know that children flourish when the important people in their lives work together.

Above all, we want Stoke Bishop to be a place where children feel safe, happy, included and proud of who they are; where they are encouraged to have a go, learn from mistakes and celebrate one another's successes. A place where they understand that their voice matters, their contribution makes a difference and their future is full of possibility.
