Year 4

Welcome to Year Four's class page!

Our teachers are Mrs Beach and Mrs Gough. We have lots of exciting things happening this year such as; a trip to a Roman fortress, the year 3/4 production, year 4 camp and a variety of other activities! We enjoy teaching new things and being creative with our classes. Look out below to see what this term's topic is!

PE Days

Our PE days are: 

4G - Tuesday (outdoor) and Thursday (indoor)

4B - Tuesday (outdoor) and Thursday (indoor)

Please ensure your child has the correct PE uniform in school for these days and that each piece of clothing is named. 


Spellings are due in every Tuesday and your child's spelling test will also be on Tuesday. 

Home Learning

Reading - Each week children are expected to read 5 times (and record this in their reading record).

Times Tables - Children will be tested on their times tables every Friday and should practise in the week.

Home Learning - Children will be given a termly home learning sheet, based on their topic, which will give suggestions of tasks they could complete during the term.

Our Topic for Term 2 is...

Now the Romans have left, we are moving on to the Anglo-Saxons! We will be learning about village life, the Gods they worshiped, investigating artefacts and learning about Runes.
